Standing up new Agile Team- a week-long workshop

This is a week-long workshop to help a new agile team jump-start their agile journey. This workshop has two components.

Introduction to Agile

[Day 1-2] Two full-day classroom training on Agile and Scrum basics

Get ready to start the first sprint

[Day 3-5] Take the team through a set of activities [Agile Bingo] to get them ready for the first sprint

What is Agile Bingo?

Agile Bingo is a visual canvas we use to guide the team through various activities that involve going through and creating all the artifacts that the team needs to start executing their first sprint.

These activities/artifacts include the creation of and/or review of:

 Working Agreements

 DoR, DoD

 Product Backlog

 User Stories

 Team rituals (Fun Backlog)

 Dependencies

 Risks

Sprint Planning for the first sprint

 Impediments Log

 Creation of Scrum Calendar

 Communication Calendar

These activities are intentionally put in a random order, encouraging collective ownership and self-organization by the team.

We recommend starting this week-long workshop on Wednesday of the week and finish on Tuesday of the following week.
